There are two ways to do this kata: one is to go to the opponent high and slow and the second is to go to the opponent low and fast.
Begin the same as in Mae with nukitsuke.
Take a big step forward with your left foot in front of your right foot and make a big kirioroshi. Your right knee and the end of the cut should coincide.
Ko chiburui with a strong feeling from the hara. The tsuka should be turned slightly in the left hand and pushed out the side and slightly forward. Be sure that the kissaki does not extend beyond the right hand.
Noto and as you begin the slide the sword into the saya your left foot is brought back towards the right foot. Bring the sword straight back towards you. Keep your chest to the front.
Before the sword is fully sheathed, begin to rise and put your left foot back and to the left of the right foot.
Keep the sword parallel to the floor {do not lower the tsuka} as you draw it out and make a strong downwards sweeping block in front of the body. The timing here is 1) Draw the sword, and 2)Block. The line of the sword block goes from the saya, to in front of your body, to in front of your right leg, in a straight line. The block is forward and not to the side. The sword should stop just outside of the right leg and low to the ground. The upper body should be facing 45° to the left, the left hand should have a strong feeling of saya biki to the left, and the right knee should be over the right foot with a strong feeling of seme to the opponent. Your knee, hips and sword should move at the same time. Your rear left foot, front right foot, and sword, should be in a straight line.
Quickly pivot your hara to bring your left hip around to the front as you bring your left knee to the right foot. Your body goes down under the sword. During this movement, the right hand brings the sword around the left side of the head in a large circular furikaburi.
Make a large kirioroshi.
O chiburui.
Noto.
